Hearts

I got the idea for this hairdo here but had to modify it because the girls didnt have as long of hair as the lovely young lady on the other website.

4 oclock Frenzy

Everyday about 4 is when I start to pull my hair out. Everyone is up from naps and hungry but I am just getting dinner going. I dont want to feed them because they wont eat their dinner. So I have started to get creative with our activities to keep them occupied until dinner is ready at 5. They all enjoy coloring but that only lasts about 30 minutes tops. Other things in my arsenal include empty toilet paper rolls for trumpets and empty milk jugs to bag on. If all else fails we take a breather and DANCE!

HIVES

I have em. Anybody want them? I tried to take somepictures but it has spred to some unmentionable places. Why one earth would I be blogging about hives you ask? Because no one is at home for me to complain to and they itch soooooo bad! I dont know why I have them but I am hoping they are a 24 hour thing and that they will go away tonight. Funny story though I was dreaming about being really itchy and whn I woke up in the morning all of my joints were swollen with hives. I took some benadryl and used hydrocortizone cream and they went away. But they came back a few hours later bigger and badder then ever. Man even the tops pf my feet itch! Pray for me!!!

Oh lala

Check out the new dress Jeff bought me. There is another one too but you will have to wait to see it.

Sunbeam?

Ryan escaped me after church on Sunday before I could put a diaper back on him. How could I not grab a camera.

Ok I feel officialy OLD! I now have two kids in primary. Jessie is now a Sunbeam and she LOVES it. We did a little spying on her on Sunday and she was just all curled up next to her teacher singing along to all the songs.

The pool

We had a week pass at the Washington County Community Center so we signed up last week. Tonight was our last night and I finally remembered the camera. Cassie is becoming quite the little fish. I think maybe if we lived closer we would come more and get her really swimming in a matter of weeks.
My two favorite boys.

So me

Monster Bread!

I think I may need to start making 6 loaves at a time!

And it was sooooooo good arent you all jealous!

Our Quest

I have decided it is time to get a dog. But I cant get just any dog. I need one that doesnt shed and wont give me hives when I touch it. When we were at the park the other day we met a Labradoodle and I fell in love! It was the perfect size and temperment and the best part I didnt itch after petting her. SO we are on a quest to find a dog who needs a home. I want one who is out of the puppy stage and already potty trained, medium sized preferably female and has some poodle in it. Since the Obamas have really brought this dog into poularity I am hoping there might be one that comes through the pound in the next few months because of a family that ran out to get one and then changed their mind. Here is hoping we can add to our family in the next 6 months!

Handyman

My husband can do anything! In the past when he has told me an idea I would just go "yeah right" but after almost 8 years of marriage I have learned that he can build ANYTHING! His latest achievement is his wii fit shelf as seen below. We wanted to keep the Wii Fit board in the back room but didnt have any way to keep the kids from getting it. So Jeff built this cool container to put it in. It looks great and is nice to be able to keep it near the Wii. Way to go Jeff!

Now hear this...

2009 Contract

My Wish for You in 2009:
May peace break into your house and may thieves come to steal your debts. May the pockets of your jeans become a magnet for $100 bills. May love stick to your face like Vaseline and may laughter assault your lips! May your clothes smell of success like smoking tires and may happiness slap you across the face and may your tears be that of joy. May the problems you had forget your home address! In simple words ....
may 2009 be the best year of your life!!!

Life isn't about waiting for the storm to pass...It's about learning to dance in the rain.

14 months!

This crazy guy is 14 months old today and he has been saying so many new things in the last two weeks that I thought I had better get it written down before I forget. Ryans new words

uh oh
bear
drink
thank you
bed
garbage
diaper
stinky boy
dada
mommeeee
no no
shoe

Most of these words come out bungled up but there is no mistaking this guy is on his way to talksville. If he cant say it he will try to mimmic the tone of what we said which is so funny. He has also been much more explorative lately getting into cupboards and garbage cans. I think all the empty boxes under the tree brought that out in him. He is a fast runner and loves to go for trips in his car (thanks again grandpa and grandma). He also likes to lay on the couch and have his ears looked at, I know weird. I am really looking forward to warmer weather so we can get him outside to explore more. I think we may have to invest in a fence sooner then we thought. Everyday he does new funny things but I would say his two favorite are growling and wrestling with dad. Love you bud cant wait to see what you do next.

Resturaunt review

Many of you know how much I love food. I especially love to eat out because it doesn't require that I clean up afterwards. So we decided to try out the newest restaurant in town last night for my first review of 2009. I had hoped to make a whole blog out of eating but there are not that many new places in town to review. I do however plan on trying out some of the favorites in town and reviewing those too.

Pirate Island Pizza is located off of Sunset by the Stadium 8 Theaters. First impressions when we walked in brought back memories of our most recent trip to Disneyland. The heavy wooden double doors open into a cavern large enough to hold the hoards of waiting families. There was a talking pirate skull over the hostess station along with a parrot buddy for him to converse with. This, while in theory sounds like a fun idea, in practice was just annoying. The skull seemed to drone on and on about nothing and became quite irritating after a while. Since our visit fell on a holiday we were told the wait would be about half an hour. We spent the first ten minutes browsing the gift shop conveniently located near the waiting area. They offered all kinds of Pirate paraphernalia for all ages. My favorite were the yoga pants that had "booty" printed on the bum and the P I P logo. The rest of our waiting time was happily spent in the arcade area which also boasts a pirate ship play yard for the wee ones. Ryan loved climbing up and then sliding down. This made the wait much more tolerable with a hungry baby. We were finally seated in the Tiki Dining Room where we were left for a long while again before being visited by our server, who was appropriately dressed in striped tights a tattered vest and a parrot on her shoulder. We decided to try the pizza since that is their staple dish. We ordered a Chicken Ranch Pizza and I also had the all you can eat salad bar. The pizza came out surprisingly quick for as busy as they were and was absolutely delicious. It had a nice thin crust but could have used a little more sauce because it was dry in spots. I had to try the pizza sauce they put on a regular pie as well and was happy with the strong tomato flavor that wasn't overwhelmed by too many spices. The salad bar while lacking in size made up in freshness and care. There was an employee there the whole time cleaning and refilling all the tubs. I like the care that was taken in chopping as well because there was no need to further cut anything I had put on my salad. Overall I would say that while the service is only slightly better then being served by real pirates the food was great and I cant wait to go back.......with out the kids, all three of them woke up with nightmares last night!

New Year, New Table

It pays to help people move! New Years Eve Jeff help a guy at church move some things into storage and earlier in the week we had helped him move so things down to Vegas (well Nancy did the moving but we hooked them up so she could get it down there). In the process he decided that we as a family could use this table more then he would as a single guy so it ended up at our house. It makes a lovely addition to the back room and it is bigger then our old table. So you are all invited over for dinner to try out the new table (one family at a time please) tonights menu is steak and salad with roasted potatoes. :)

Bring it on!

Happy new year! We had a nice ....quiet?.........night at home with some of our close friends which was exactly where we wanted to be. It was very cold out there that night. We made playdough
And the girls expeimented with cookie cutters. There was also more food then 20 people could eat but we managed to plow through most of it! I have no new goals for this year just a desire to enjoy my family and to be a healthier family together. Happy New Year!!!!!
