Sunny Days!

It has been slowly warming up for a few weeks now but today we decided to take full advantage of the sunshine and go have lunch at the park with some friends. It was only supposed

to be 70 so it didnt even occur to me to put sunscreen on the kids. I wish I had cause we all have really funny sunburns now. Jeff is rubbing aloe on them right now. :( Luckily I had Ryan in a hat and the shade so he didnt get burned. Tomorrow we will try thepark again with sunscreen. The girls have really taken to playing frisbee.

Our Saturday Nights Out

My favorite thing to do on a Saturday night is go to DI and check out the stuff people drop off. We have found some really neat things. Here is our two most recent purchases.This was sitting up high on a shelf and I almost walked right past it. Jeff wasnt real excited about it but I think it goes perfect in front of the fireplace. I cant wait for Christmas!!
This is the thing that made Jeff be ok with taking me to DI every Saturday night. He found this last weekend and didnt even hesitate in buying it. He even had to make a trip back in the truck to pick it up.

I have been elbow deep in green snot, mucous, and phlegm for weeks now! Wont somebody come and save me! It all started with Jessica about two weeks ago. She got the cough on Monday then came the ever running GREEN snot that would flow to her chin with every sneeze if I didnt catch it in time.That was on Tuesday, Jeffs B-day. Thursday she had dried up a bit so when we went out for lunch for Valentines day I didnt think twice about sharing a drink. BIG MISTAKE! By Saturday Cassie and I were well on our way to Snot Town population 3 soon to be 4. Yeah Ryan got it on Monday. I got the kids into the doc on Tuesday night and we came out with antibiotics for the double ear infections for the girls and some good strong cough medicine. Ryan didnt get bad until Wednesday which is when I took the pics. You can tell he is miserablebut Cassie did her best to make him smile. He is on his way back to his normal smiley self......Thank Goodness! I cant stand to see them suffer. Hopefully in a few more days we will all be breating again! Oh Yeah Jeff is fine OF COURSE! That boy never gets sick. I could feed him poop and he wouldnt get sick. Sory for the gross post but I am just trying to let off some steam. :)

So Friday night we got a phone call from Chris Williams one of Jeffs childhood friends. He said "We are sick of the snow and we will be there in four hours for the weekend!" Woo Hoo we got into a whirlwind of straightening up and light cleaning and we were ready to go by the time they got here. We had quite the weekend they have three kids too and there was someone for everyone to play with. Paula (the mommie) and I took off Saturday morning and got some shopping time in. There were some screaming deals out there and I got a new dress and some Levis. Jeff had Chris (the daddy) help out on the roof and they also played basketball Saturday morning. The kids all played really well and Ryan really liked having another baby around to look at. Here are some photos of them hanging out together.

Ryans got hands

Yeah he always had hands but he just discovered that he can control them the other day. He really enjoys his floor gym, he could play with it for hours. I decided to get him a toy for his car seat too and he likes that just as much. Yesterday while we were at the doctor he was sitting in his car seat and he would stick his hand up and hit the toy so it would spin and spin.

Hapty Balentimes Day!

WTo celebrate valentines day we made some yummy sugar cookies and daddy gave the girls a box of chocolates. Everytime Cassie walked into the room she would yell "HAPTY BALENTIMES DAY!" This morning she asked is it still balentimes day? I think this is going to be one of her favorite holidays.

We went to Texas Roadhouse for dinner. We really like the food and Jessie loves the music cause she can dance.

Then it was off to SHAQ for some swimming fun. I was all ready to get Ryan in the water for a few minutes I had bought him a suit and everything but he fell asleep on the way over and slept the whole time we were there. I think he really enjoys the white noise. Cassie is doing so good with her swimming she can swim about 10 feet out and take breaths and everything. I cant wait for the summer!

Well I finally did it! I pulled off a surprise party for Jeff for his 31st birthday. It has been in the plans for weeks and weeks but everything started snowballing about a week ago today and as each day was ticked off the calendar I got more and more tense. I was SURE he knew what was going on and he was just stringing me along but when he walked in I could tell by his face that he had no idea. Yay me! One thing I can tell you I will never do that again! It was way too stressful and I think he will have just as much fun knowing about the party beforehand.

I am head long into potty training with Jessica and she is definately giving me a run for my money. Cassie was sooooo easy and I think I waited just a little too long with Jess and she is definately way more stubborn then Cassie was. So forget the house work and the playdates and the trips to Frost Top until we can get the ball rolling at least a little. Wish us luck!!!!

Happy Birthday Roger!

Anyone who knows me knows that I LOVE to throw a party! So when I heard Roger was coming into town on his birthday I was so excited and started planning right away. Roger being the health nut he is I went for semi figure friendly fajitas. Oh they were sooooooo good! The party was a succsess and it was so fun to have all the family together. I wonder what we will celebrate next? :)

Whew

Its been a week since the surgery and Jessie seems to finally be on the mend. It is funny how she did so good the first couple of days and then went down hill and crashed so hard the next few days. She still wines a lot but I am sure her throat will be sore for about another week. Thanks to all of those who sent cards and fun things to cheer her up. That helped me as much as it helped her. Now if I could just get over this stupid cold.......
