Date night

Some times things dont work out the way you plan. This last Friday Jeff and I were trying to get away for a few hours from the craziness but we couldnt find a babysitter. So we decided to have a family date night. We walked up to 25 Main
to have some dinner (this is my new favorite BTW). The dinner was so good and the kids loved the alfredo. Then we walked over to the water park and spent a few hours there playing around. We made it home just in time for bed. It turned out to be a very very good date night!

San Francisco-Part Five-Stockton, CA and home

I didnt pull out the camera during our quick stop over in Stockton, we were there less then 24 hours! We had some yummy food with some friends and Jeff helped with an Ameriplan meeting. The next morning we headed out early after a great Fathers Day breakfast. The kids had picked out a cute monkey shirt for him and I gave him the books I had made from our blog. I used Blurb to do it. He LOVED them. We had a great drive back to St George with a stop off in Barstow for a late lunch. If you havent seen the trains they turned into diner cars you should stop by at least once. It was very crowded but the kids had fun. The funny thing was when we sat down to eat the girls thought the train was going to start moving. You should have seen their eyes! It was just a few more hours until we got home, and boy were we glad to be there. What a fun trip! And only two weeks until we leave again to go camping!!

San Francisco-Part Four-Sausalito

Tuesday we headed out to Sausalito to stay with a good friend of ours. I cant believe I only got one picture of her the whole trip! We spent Tuesday just relaxing and hanging out. Wednesday Hillary came out to go to the park with us. It was quite a drive but felt good to get out of the house. Wednesday night I got all dolled up and headed into the city and Hillary and I had a girls night out. We went to and awesome taco place for dinner and then saw Wicked. It was so much fun! Oh and I couldnt resist borrowing the Jaguar for our night out! So so fun!! On our way back over the bridge I got pulled over. I KNEW I hadnt been speeding so we were at a loss as to why I had been pulled over. Turns out I forgot to turn on the headlights! What a funny ending to that night. The boys hung out at Cassandre's house while we were partying and ate enough sushi to feed about 10 people. Oh I was so jealous! They decided to do it that night since I cant eat it right now anyway. There is a photo of Jeff sacked out in Jeffs lap. I guess bedtime wasnt the priority when Mom is away. Thursday we went back into the city and hung out at Golden Gate Park The museum was so crowded but the park was awesome! These slides were at the park. You had to have some cardboard to slide on so you didnt rip your pants. I braved the slide once with Sarah and she loved it so much she made her mommy take her a few more times. Ryan just loved going from thing to thing and ended up on the climbing ropes. That night Jeff came out to meet us and we spent the evening with Roger and Hillary. Friday I was looking forward to just relaxing and hanging out in Sausalito with Cassandre. I was lucky enough to get an hour and a half massage while she entertained the girls. Then we headed downtown to do some shopping. This is where I braved going near the water so the kids could see the ferry. After shopping we headed back out to Roger and Hillary's for some awesome dinner! I think I could have eaten twenty of those tacos! Saturday morning we left around ten to head to our last stop of the trip Stockton, Ca to visit an Ameriplan friend and do a meeting for her.

San Francisco-Part Three-The Anniversary

Sunday night Jeff and I left the kiddos in Hillary's care and escaped for a few days. Roger happens to work for a hotel so we got a sweet family discount at the Monaco down town. here is a picture of the super stripey room! That night we headed out to go to a movie and have a little dinner. It was so nice to not feel rushed or have to worry about walking around in the city wondering if my children are going to run off at any moment. We headed to Chinatown Monday mid morning to do some shopping and sight seeing. Jeff was such sport as I dragged him from store to store looking at the same stuff over and over again. I had a blast window shopping and I am sure Jeff just enjoyed being with his wife. He also bought me a super cute purse there. :) We had some good sizzling rice soup in Chinatown then headed back for nap time. After a wonderful much needed rest we headed out again. This time down to Fishermans Wharf for dinner at The Blue Mermaid.

We had awesome calamari, clam chowder and seafood cobb salad. We decided to walk back through Nob Hill. Oh that was tough but I did it. It was a fun experience and I am glad I did it. Here I am at the bottom.

And here we are at the top. We still had to go back down hill to get to the hotel but it was so fun we were just laughing the whole time. Jeff was even such a gentleman and carried my heavy purse for me. By the time we got back to the hotel my legs were quite happy to have a rest and we just crashed in bed. Roger picked us up the next morning and we were on to the next phase of our trip. Visiting Cassandre in Sausalito.

San Francisco-Part Two-The Weekend

After arriving at Roger and Hillary's apartment we had lunch and just chatted for a while. That night we headed out to the Golden Gate Bridge for some sightseeing and chicken garlic pizza. We had a fun little tailgate party in the parking lot before taking off on the chilly walk.
Cassie decided it would be safest to just stay in the stroller but Ryan was quite the daredevil and wanted to take a peek over the side. After church on Sunday we took naps and then went for a walk around the neighborhood. It was nice to get out and run around a bit and the weather was perfect for the walk.

San Francisco Trip, Part One

The trip began Friday night with a stop in Las Vegas for a super shrimp chow down! Oh is was so good and Cassie got quite good at peeling the shrimp. It was very cute. Ryan thought he was good at peeling them but realy he just ripped them apart. We were there for longer then we planned which got us in very late to our first stop, but it was something the kids wont ever forget. We stopped in Bakersfield for the night in a very gross hotel. I was glad we were there for such a short time. We left around 8 the next morning and finished our drive to San Francisco.

As I write this I am sitting in a bed in Stockton, Ca. Tomorrow we begin the LONG ride home from a wonerful vacation. I totally plan on doing a day by day post but for now here is a photo from our last night in San Francisco at Rog an Hillarys apartment. They made the BEST food ever! Tacos with yummy dressing and awesome chicken. The lovely lady in the middle is our good friend and Cassies namesake. We stayed with her in Sausalito for most of the trip. Oh the good times we had! But for now sleep and a long day driving home. Ryan is coming down with something so hopefully he will be bearable tomorrow.

Addicted

It is a good thing he works from home because after 8 years I cant go very long with out him! When I was a kid I would sit and think about who and what I would be when I was older. I alway day dreamed about romance and marriage, but I never realized how attatched we would be to each other. I LOVE this man! The best part is I know that if we lost everything we still have eachother forever and I know that he is enough. Together we have added to our addiction with three beautiful little ones and I cant wait to meet this new creation that I know will be another joy in our lives.
Thanks for eight great years Jeff! I sure cant ask for a better partner in this journey through life. I LOVe you so much!
