Last night we did a late dinner at Cafe Rio. We were almost done eating when Cassie got the hiccups. I said oh Cassie has the hiccups and she said no its not its my heart beep. It was the cutest thing ever.
The only excuse I have for the story I am about to tell is fatigue and a little syndrome I like to call baby brain. This morning neither Jeff nor I wanted to get out of bed so we didnt until we absolutely had to. I made breakfast andwe all ate together then Jeff went into the office to do a few things while I started to get my lesson pulled together for Sunday School. By the time I was finished we had about a half hour to get everyone ready for church so I rushed the girls upstairs to get their dresses on which we did. Unfortunately there were no diapers upstairs so I had to go down and get one. Well we all went down and I did my hair and then the girls hair and then I got dressed. By this time we had to get going so we put shoes on and rushed out the door. Well we were about halfway through Sacrament and Jessie was sitting on my lap and I was rubbing her leg. I thought something felt funny so I kept rubbing and then realized that I had completly forgotten to put a diaper back on Jessie! She had been running around with nothing covering her bum for hours!!! As soon as I got a diaper on her she peed too so it was a good thing that I noticed.
The other day I wanted some chocolate ice cream really bad so we went down to McDonalds to get some. When we got there they first told us that the macine was broken so they didnt have any, then the guy said no I fixed it you can order ice cream. So I ordered again I sain can we have two chocolate and two vanilla cones. Well the guy looked at me like I had asked him to sprinkle cockroached on top and then he says, We havent had chocolate ice cream in like 6 years. I think a simple we dont have chocolate would have worked just fine! ANyway so we all got vanilla and when we went to go pick them up the machine kept spurting and spraying everywhere so he obviously did not fix the machine. But we had fun and had a funny story to tell to everyone later.
Did you know that standing for long periods of time can give you hemorrhoids? I pulled a 7 1/2 hour work day on Saturday and was on my feet most of the time, buy the end of the day I couldn't figure out what was wrong with my tushie but figured it out real quick after I referenced my symptoms. I actually find it quite funny but in a really sore kind of way. Jeff has been pretty understanding of the whole situation considering he doesn't let me pity myself very often. (I think he thinks it is funnier than I do) Sorry I donthave a picture for this post but I think we will all be better off if I dont.......hehehehehe
Last night about 4:30 all of St George and the surrounding areas lost power. The power was out for a bout 4 hours. After the first two it started to get real hot in the house so we decided to go swimming because EVERYTHING was closed besides the pool. But by the time we got our suits on and got to a pool it had started to thunder and lightning. So we turned around and went home. On our way home we discovered that Smiths was still open so we went in just to cool off and the were dicounting all of their meat. We went crazy and bout TONS of steak. When we got home we stripped down to as little as possible and grilled some up just as it started to pour. The girls had a blast and to be quite honest we did too! It was so much fun to do something different. And the steak was awesome!
Jeff has been really sick the last couple of days so the reunion wasnt a whole lot of fun for him. But the girls loved it and Malissa did a great job with it. At the auction I bought a baby blanket for my buba that Pam made and some Jammies and a Barbie video for Cassie. Oh yeah Grandma auctioned off some things from her house so I got some pictures for the girls room. Last night I helped with inventory at work. I didnt get home until 1 AM and poor Jeff was just burning up with fever. I didnt even want to be in the same bed with him because he was radiating so much heat. Well I got him some medicine and he seems to be doing so much better today which makes me happy. He said that Cassie kept saying "Dad your HOT" she is so cute. Well now that the reunion is over we are looking forward to 24th of July. We are very excited because we have the perfect spot to watch fireworks.....our front lawn! We are going to have a BBQ and invite some friends it should be fun.
I would have written more last night but it was late and I was tired. Congrats to Marc he is the proud owner of a baby girl as of early this morning. We had a lot of fun taking pictures yesterday, and I am glad we got them done because the weather has turned grey today. We are getting a very light but refreshing rain which has brought the temp down to 79!we have all the doors and windows open, I love it! I am going to make brownies this afternoon and I think we are going to walk down to the library brfore dinner. But first things first. NAPS! it will be so relaxing to hear the rain and feel the cool breeze. I promise that we will be getting the rest of the pictures up in a slideshow but it might not be for a few days. Oh yeah one more thing yes there is a baby in the tummy even though it doesnt show on the pictures. Malissa did a great job huh!
Ok there seems to be a lot more people using this place than where I was before so I thought it would be easier to do it over here. We just got back from our trip to Phoenix. Wow was it hot but we sure had a lot of fun. And I was able to get a good tan. I am 23 weeks along with this baby and he has decided to let himself be known. This little guy can pack quite a punch. Which I guess is good so he can hold his own against his sisters. Jessie already likes to see how tough he is by jumping on my stomach at random times when I am not paying attention. And then when I remind her that there is a baby in mommys tummy she starts slapping my stomach! I am sure she will be a lot more soft when he decides to make his apperance, kids just kindof have that sense about babies. Well I am quite hungry so I will be trying to figure out how to thaw out 5 pounds of hamburger!
